What We Do
An exterior cleaning company on Cleveland's West Side
PowerClean Pros cleans the outside of houses across Lorain, Cuyahoga & Medina Counties. House washing, roof washing, window cleaning, gutters, and driveway, patio and deck cleaning and sealing. We work as a service-area business out of Avon Lake, which means we come to the property rather than operating from a storefront.
The work splits cleanly in two, and getting that split right is most of the job. Hard surfaces like concrete driveways take real pressure, applied with a rotary surface cleaner so the finish comes out even rather than striped. Everything else, meaning roofs, siding, stucco, screens, and wood decking, gets soft washed at low pressure with a cleaning solution that kills algae and mildew at the root. Pressure on those surfaces causes damage that costs far more to fix than the cleaning ever cost.
That is not a marketing position, it is just what the materials require. Asphalt shingles carry ceramic granules that give them their UV protection, and pressure strips them off. Vinyl siding overlaps, and pressurized water gets in behind it and into the wall. Deck boards have hard and soft grain in the same plank, and pressure erodes the soft grain and leaves the board furry. Pavers stay put because of the sand packed between them, and pressure blows that sand out.

Pricing
The price before the work, not after
Every job is quoted after we have seen the property rather than sold off a flat rate, because the size of the house, how much growth there is and the condition of the surface all move the number. Quotes are free, and the price is agreed before any work starts rather than presented afterwards.
If a property genuinely falls outside the standard job, because it is unusually large or the growth is heavy enough to need a second application, you hear that before the work starts rather than seeing it on an invoice afterwards.
We would also rather tell you when something will not come out. Oil that has soaked deep into porous concrete over several years may lighten rather than disappear. Grey that has gone deep into badly weathered deck boards may not come all the way back. Saying that up front costs us the occasional job and saves everyone the argument at the end.
Where We Work
Three counties, different problems in each
Our service area runs across Lorain, Cuyahoga & Medina Counties, and conditions change noticeably over that spread. Along the Lake Erie shoreline in Avon Lake and Avon, wind carries moisture inland and keeps siding and roofs damp, so algae establishes readily and house washing and roof soft washing dominate the work.
- Inland and south. The lake stops moderating anything. Brunswick sits at 1,106 feet, roughly 400 feet above Avon, and concrete there cycles through freeze and thaw considerably harder. Driveway cleaning and sealing is the service we are asked for most in that part of the area.
- Between those two. The established postwar suburbs of Strongsville and Westlake, where the surfaces are older and the tree cover is fifty years further along. Deck cleaning, gutter clearing and roof soft washing account for most of what we do there.
